The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will hold a meeting in Vienne today to discuss the recent visits of inspectors to Iranian nuclear facilities, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper reports.
US and EU officials expect support in development of a resolution on Iran for its refusal to cooperate in nuclear technologies.
New tensions around Iran happened in late February. Tehran refused to grant access to IAEA experts to visit the Parchin military complex. Western diplomats and military state “suspicious activity” at the nuclear facility. Concerns were provoked by new satellite shots. Iran explained that access was denied because IAEA inspectors are only allowed to enter facilities monitored by the agency, where Parchin is not the case. Visiting the military complex requires permission of the Iranian Defense Ministry.
