Russia end to Iran sanctions in exchange for IAEA supervision

Moscow has proposed a lifting of anti-Iranian sanctions in exchange for the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program put under full IAEA control at the upcoming negotiations with six mediators, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said, RIA Novosti reports.

The diplomat reminded about Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s article “Russia and the changing world” where the PM noted that the world society could recognize Iran’s right for uranium enrichment under IAEA supervision. The third aspect of the initiative was to lift sanctions, including unilateral ones, if Iran approves the idea.
