BP-Azerbaijan to spend $2.516 billion on Azeri-Chirag-Gunsehli in 2012

BP-Azerbaijan spent $699 million on the operation of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea and $1.912 billion as capital expenses in 2011, APA reports.

The company plans to spend $708 million on operation of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field and $2.516 billion as capital expenses, which is an increase by 1.3% and 31.6% respectively.

The Chirag, Central Azeri, Western Azeri, Eastern Azeri, Deepwater Gunashli platforms extracted 35.4 million tons of oil in 2011.

ACG partners are BP-Azerbaijan (operator with 35.78%), Сhevron (11.27%), SOCAR (11.65%), Inpeks (10.96%), Statoil (8.56%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.75%), Itochu (4.3%) and Hess (2.72%).
