Kazakhstan plans to build a factory to produce liquid methane, Minister for Petroleum Sauat Mynbayev said at the parliament today, KAZINFORM reports.
Tarbagatay has opened an oil field at the Zaysansky District. Its development has already started. The field contains low oil reserves and about 3 billion cubic meters of gas. The volumes are enough for about 10 years of extraction with a pipeline built to Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk or Pavlodar. Investments have a risk of being unpaid off, Mynbayev says.
