The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) will renew gas supplies to Russia in the near future, Trend reports.
Gas exports to other states are carried out in normal regime. About 12 million cubic meters of gas are shipped to Georgia daily, 5 million to Georgia.
SOCAR and Gazprom signed the gas deal in Baku on October 14, 2009. A supplement to the contract signed in Baku in early December 2010 states that Gazprom was to receive 2 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011, over 2 billion in 2012. Russia did not receive the stated volumes in 2011.
