Georgia detains suspected murderer of Iranian businessman

Georgian police have detained a man suspected in murdering Chairman of the Iranian Businessmen Union Maqsood Bedustani, Pirveli reports.

Vavid Bakharbeylami (Iran) was caught at the Martkopi Village of the Gardabansky District. The police believe he murdered the businessman over a quarrel.

Bedustani, a Georgian citizen of Iranian origin, was found dead at the office of the Iranian Businessmen Union in Georgia on the Street of Kostav. He was stabbed to death.

An official of the union said that Bedistani was accompanied by a man on Tuesday, with whom the businessman discussed financial transfers. The man visited the union’s office some days ago as well. He turned out to be Bakharbeylami
