The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has fully restored gas supply to Russia, Trend reports.
SOCAR and Gazprom signed the gas deal in Baku on October 14, 2009. A supplement to the contract was signed in Baku in early September 2010. The document states that Gazprom was to receive 2 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011, over 2 billion in 2012. Russia did not get 2 billion cubic meters in 2011.
An additional deal was signed in Sochi on January 24, 2012, doubling gas purchases (from 1.5 to 3 billion cubic meters). Russia started purchasing Azerbaijani gas in January 2010.
