Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan to merge energy systems

Presidents Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Iran), Hamid Karzai (Afghanistan) and Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan) had a trilateral summit in Dushanbe on Sunday. They signed an agreement on development of projects for construction of roads and railways to link the their states, Trend reports.

The sides agreed to merge national energy systems and build oil, gas and water pipelines.

The three presidents will form a joint working group for the necessary preparations. They will meet in Tehran in two months.
