IAEA Director General praises achievements of Kazakhstan in field of nuclear safety

Today at the Second Summit on Nuclear Security in Seoul, President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano, Kazinform reports.

"In the past two years, Kazakhstan has done a great job in the field of nuclear safety. The cooperation between Kazakhstan and the IAEA is actively developing. Tomorrow, in my speech at the summit, I will talk about the achievements of Kazakhstan in this area," - Nursultan Nazarbayev said during the meeting.

In turn, Yukiya Amano said that last year during a visit to Kazakhstan, he became convinced of the great successes of the republic in the sphere of nuclear non-proliferation and security.
