Ukrainian companies are willing to participate in the development of
transport infrastructure in Turkmenistan, ITAR-TASS reports, referring to
the Deputy Director General of the financial and industrial group "Altcom",
Mikhail Kovalev. Kovalev said that major construction projects in
Turkmenistan are expected to be implemented in the Lebap and Dashoguz districts.
"There are six airports in Turkmenistan, including three international ones.
Another airport with the appropriate infrastructure will be built," the
businessman said. He said that the country is actively modernizing
transport infrastructure with the participation of foreign firms. In March
it became known that the French company "Thales" had signed a contract for the
reconstruction of the airport in Ashgabat.
The construction of bridges in Turkmenistan is all of interest to Ukrainian
companies.
The Ukrainian specialists were invited to the Lebap district to teach bridge
construction. The Turkmen citizens are studying at the moment at the Donbas
National Academy of Engineering and Architecture.
