Nurlan Isin, President of the Kazakh Association of IT-Companies has announced launched of the ҚАЗ domain, the national domain, approved by the ICANN, News Kazakhstan reports.
The domain will initially be used by state structures and the president's office. The first stage of domain reservation will take place on April 1-30.
The next stage will be on May 1- July 30. Companies with trademarks may register until December 31, 2011. Registration of domain names will be open on August 15.
The Kazakh Center for Network Information (KazNIC) will be registering addresses. The Kazakh Association of IT-Companies will manage the top-level domain.
ҚАЗ has become the third Cyrillic domain, following Russia's РФ and Serbia's СРБ.
