Bulgaria to participate in inter-ministerial meeting on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway

A meeting between the Ministers of Transport of Azerbaijan, Georgia,
Turkey and Bulgaria will take place in late April. The
participants of the meeting will discuss the prospects for the
turnover of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway currently under
construction, Business Georgia reports.

Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Infrastructure Development and
Regional Policy of Georgia, said that the railway is of great
importance for the countries of the region and will increase the
traffic flow from Europe to Asia.

A new 105-kilometer-long railroad section is going to be build as part
of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. 76 kilometers of this road will be
located on the territory of Turkey, and 29 kilometers - in Georgia.
