Baku is hosting a council of CIS, Baltic and Georgian railway companies on April 3-5, Trend reports.
Alirza Suleimanov, First Deputy Chief of Azerbaijani Railways, gave detailed information on Azerbaijani railways, modernization and prospects. He described realization of the Azerbaijani state program for development of railway transport for 2010-2014, signed on July 6, 2010, and realization of the North-South and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway projects.
The sides discussed fulfillment of decisions made at the council of railway authorities in Baranovichi on April 29-30, 2008, roundup of 2011 and two months of 2012, formation of a park for single management and exploitation of cargo carriages.
A protocol will be signed at the end of the council.
