Three planes had to land at alternate airports due to heavy snow at the Nizhny Novgorod Airport, RIA Novosti cites Olga Ladeyshikova, press secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod Airport as saying.
A plane from Sheremetievo returned, one from Baku landed at Domodedovo, one more from Moscow landed in Ulyanovsk.
Flights from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow (Sheremetievo) and Samara have been postponed.
Weather forecasts say tha region will have wind speed of 13-18 meters per second on April 5-6. Wet snow will stay in the northern area.
