Turkey, like Azerbaijan, is putting all efforts into realization of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) for gas transport, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Trend reports.
The PM said that the next step after construction of the pipeline in Turkey is the part in Italy and then to Albania.
TAP is part of the Southern Gas Corridor project to transport gas supplies from the Caspian Region through Greece and Albania and the Adriatic Sea to Italy’s south and then to Western Europe. Gas extracted within the framework of the second stage of Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz Field should be the source to fill TAP.
