One of the largest international maritime organizations is interested in cooperating with Georgia: representatives of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) are on an official visit to Batumi, "Business-Georgia" reports.
A working meeting has been held with representatives of the Agency of Maritime Transport, company-intermediaries between shipowners and sailors of maritime schools and Georgian ports.
Representatives of ABS are visiting Georgia for the first time. The purpose of the visit is to explore the Georgian market and open an office in Batumi. The opening of the office will positively affect the marine industry, in Georgia’s view.
