Russia, Ukraine to process associated gas

Ukraine sent a delegation to visit Russian regions on April 3-7 and offered processing of associated gas, as stated by Sergey Ryzhuk, head of the Zhitomir regional administration of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Yelchenko said in Moscow that a joint venture was founded in Samara this year for processing of associated gas.

He added that a facility has already been tested for gas processing. Certificates will be issued by the Russian Institute for Oil and Gas of the Energy Ministry by the end of April.

Ryzhuk clarified that thousands of cubic meters of associated gas will be turned into half a ton of synthetic fuel. Moreover, he said that they agreed to reopen production of An-2 planes, repairs of motors for planes and helicopters.

A delegation from Volyn, Vinnitsa, Zhitomir and Ivano-Frakovskaya Regions visited the Tyumen Region, Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Districts under Ryzhuk’s supervision. The Ukrainian delegation presented over 130 projects to Russian partners, proposed establishment of joint ventures, including education and healthcare centers.
