Iran begins Caspian water desalination project

 

Mazandaran Province in Iran is starting realization of the water desalination project for the Caspian Sea, News Azerbaijan reports.

The project is being realized by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (Sepah). $1.6 billion has been spent on implementing the project in the past 2 years, as stated by Shems Muzaffari, Commander of the Sepah headquarters of Khatamul-Ambia in Sari.

The official said that they will use advanced technology to desalinate sea water. Kum and Siman Provinces will have their problems with water supplies resolved.
