Iran denies reduction of oil shipments to Greece, Spain

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has denied reports on reduction of oil shipments to Greece and Spain, ANSPRESS cites NIOC director for international links Mohsen Qamsari as saying.

Press TV reported last week that Iran reduced oil supplies of Greece and Spain and planned further reduction of exports to other European states.

Spokesman of the Iranian Petroleum Ministry Alireza Nikzad confirmed reduction of oil shipments to British and French companies.

Foreign ministers of 27 EU states met in Brussels on January 23 and approved the embargo on Iranian oil exports. The new package of sanctions includes a gradual ban on imports of petroleum from Iran. The embargo will come into full force on July 1.
