Georgian rams arrive in Israel

Georgia is increasing ram exports to Israel. 2400 rams have arrived at the Ben Gurion International Airport, Business Georgia reports.

Georgian Agricultural Minister Zaza Gorozia watched the arrival personally. The purchase was made by Eden International Trading, part of the Manor Group. The group’s spokesman Mikhail Barkan expressed hope for 4-6 portions of rams annually, or 20,000-30,000 sheep and rams in total.

Barkan used to be the Native Bureau head in South Caucasus in 2004-2009, Deputy Agricultural Minister Constantine Kobakhidze said. But the realization of the deal during Israeli Agricultural Minister Orit Noked’s visit to Tbilisi is a mere coincidence.
