Turkish state company EÜAŞ and Canada’s Candu have signed a deal on construction of a nuclear power plant in Turkey, Trend reports.
Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said that Turkey is negotiating three models of power plants with three states. He has not clarified the states.
Turkey and China signed an agreement on peaceful use of nuclear energy. A similar one was signed between South Korean and Russia.
Russia ratified the interparliamentary agreement on cooperation in construction and exploitation of the first Turkish nuclear power plant at Akkuyu in late 2010.
