Azerbaijan’s Azercell to receive first license for 4G services

The Azerbaijani Ministry for Communication and Information Technologies will issue a license for the Azercell mobile operator to use the 4G standard in Baku, Trend reports.

Azerfon and Bakcell will receive the liecense later, depending on their technical readiness. Special Hot-Spot stations will be operating at the Primorsky National Park for the 4G standard.

DATA cards for the LTE standard will be presented.

The 4G standard has a traffic of over 100 Mb/sec for mobile users and 1Gb/sec for stationary users, exceeding traffic of 3G tenfold.
