Gazprom to pay

The Russian government has increased taxes for resource extraction for Gazprom and independent gas extractors for 2013-2015. The rate was 886 – 1,062 rubles per 1,000 cubic meters for Gazprom, 726 – 1,049 rubles per 1,000 cubic meters for independent gas companies, Deputy Finances Minister Sergey Shatalov said, RBC reports.

Additional taxes for gas extraction should give 440 billion rubles. Extra 36 billion rubles of income will be achieved in 2013, 134.3 billion rubles in 2014, 270.3 billion rubles in 2015.

According to reports in April 2012, the Finances Ministry wanted indexing gas extraction twice since 2014 for Gazprom. It would give about 150 billion rubles of extra taxes in 2014.

Additional budget income is expected to reach 50 billion rubles in 2013 and even more in 2013-2014. Indexation will happen once on July 1, 2013, and twice in 2014. Shatalov says that indexation of resource extraction is planned twice a year.
