Tehran and Bishkek are studying opportunities for transporting oil and gas through Kyrgyzstan, Iranian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Manuchehr Moradi said on Wednesday, Trend reports.
Kyrgyzstan has not direct access to many resources and has problems in obtaining energy carriers and transport services. Purchases of Iranian oil and gas were one of the main topics.
Moradi discussed realization of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Iran Railway construction. It is essential for the region and would allow Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to improve communications.
