Georgia increases imports of clothes and shoes by 35%

Georgia increased imports of light industry by 35% in 2011, totaling $365 million, Business Georgia reports.

Most imports are shoes, followed by suits, second-hand clothes and etc.

Most imports come from Turkey, UAE and China. Export dropped by 2.3% in 2011 to $28.143 million.

Georgia exported products worth $9.8 million and imported worth $63.4 million in Q1 2012.
