Armenia's cableway switches to new schedule of work

Kryliya Tateva, the world's largest reverse cableway, located in Armenia, will switch to the summer schedule on June 1, News Armenia reports.


It will operate six days a week from 10 am to 6 pm, except Monday.


The cableway was launched on October 16, 2010. It is 5.7 km long, the highest point has an altitude of 330 km.

The journey from the village of Alidzor to the Tatevsky Monastery of the Syunikskaya Region takes about 11 minutes. The cableway entered the Book of Guinness World Records on October 23.


The Tatevsky Monastery was a major cultural center with a scriptorium, library and a well-known university.
