STS starts broadcasting in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia

NASDAQ:CTCM has signed a deal with Masttel, Global Media Group and NUR DUYASI in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan to expand cable networks, Business Georgia reports.

The deals were signed from 1 to 3 years.

Boris Podolsky, Acting Director General, Chief Financial Manager of STS Media, noted activity at the CIS market. He emphasized success of business in Kazakhstan and Moldova in 2011, where 31 Channel and CTC/TV DIXI demonstration positive audition.

Marat Devlet-Kildeyev, Deputy Director General of STS Media for managing broadcasting beyond Russia noted experience of the three states and knowledge of the market.

STS Media is the leading independent media company in Russia. It manages such channels as STS, Domashny and Perets, 31 Channel in Kazakhstan and a TV company in Moldova. It has about 150 million viewers. Its channels are available in North America, Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Central Asia. The holding has own company for TV content production Story First Production. STS Media’s shares are available at the NASDAQ Exchange under the STSM symbol.
