Aeroflot to blacklist passengers and staff

The head of the major air-company Aeroflot, Vitaly Savelyev, thinks that Russia should have blacklists of pilots and passengers, RIA Novosti reports. “We have presented several times and will present again the initiative of blacklisting some pilots,” Savelyev told journalists.

He noted that when Aeroflot fires pilots for violation of rules, they get jobs in other air companies because of a deficit of pilots in Russia.

Today only 400 pilots graduate every year in Russia, while the necessary number is 1000.

Savelyev added that Aeroflot could accept pilots from the CIS countries, as they are as professional as Russian ones, but the law doesn’t allow it.

Moreover, the head of Aeroflot thinks that a blacklist of passengers is needed too. “All air companies need legal permission for publishing passenger blacklists, but the law doesn’t allow us to do it,” Savelyev said.
