Credit rating of Spanish banks drops

Moody’s reduced the credit rating of 16 Spanish banks to A3. This includes the two largest banks of Spain, Santander and BBVA, ITAR-TASS reports.

The rating drop was caused by recession in Spain, a reduction in the quality of the banks’ assets, their lack of debt capital and lack of state support for the banks.
