29% of Kazakh oil extraction belongs to US companies

 

29% of Kazakh oil extraction belongs to US companies, Kazakh Minister for Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev said on Friday, Trend reports.

Kazakhstan extracts 80 million tons of oil. 26 million tons are extracted by Tengizchevroil, owned by Chevron, Mynbayev said at the international conference on Kazakh-US partnership in Astana on Friday.

The minister reminded that Exxon Mobil and ConocoFillips are also active in the Kazakh petroleum sector.
