IAEA and Iran to sign deal on inspection of nuclear facilities

Iran and the IAEA will sign an agreement on inspection of Iranian nuclear facilities, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said, RIA Novosti reports.

Amano noted that the sides have other points to resolve.

The IAEA and Iran held talks on the nuclear program in Tehran on Monday. Amano called the negotiations fruitful. Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Said Jalili approved results of the talks as well.

Tehran and six mediators will have new talks in Baghdad on May 23.

Iran and the IAEA held their previous negotiations in Vienne (Austria) on May 14-15. IAEA Chief Expert for the Iranian nuclear program Herman Hakerts noted progress after the meeting.
