The South Stream gas pipeline from Russia to Europe via the Black Sea will have capacity of 65 billion cubic metres a year and be built in 4 lines, the director of the Project Department of Gazprom, Leonid Chugunov, said, Interfax reports.
Previously, it was planned to construct a pipeline in 2 lines and with capacity of 31 billion cubic metres a year.
At the beginning of June, Gazprom finished developing a feasibility report, saying that practical realization of the project will start in 2013.
