The Russian Railways company will spend over 112.6 billion on the development of rail infrastructure in the Krasnodar Territory, Yuga.ru reports.
President of the Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin signed a deal on cooperation with Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachyov within the framework of the 7th International Railway Business Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520”.
Investments will be spent on construction and reconstruction of railway infrastructure for the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

Krymskaya Railway bypassing the Krasnodar Knot will be reconstructed as well at the cargo station on the 9th km. Part of the sum will be spent on station reconstruction of the Taman Peninsula and purchase of a new passenger train.
The deal will combine efforts of the railway company and the regional administration to realize the program for economic and social development of the territory and the strategy for railway transport development until 2030.
