Iran and Iraq sign cooperation memorandum

Iranian Petroleum Minister Rostam Kasemi said after a visit to Baghdad that he exchanged views on pipeline construction with Iraq. Gas transport volumes will total 25 million cubic meters daily, Iran News reports.


The minister noted that they discussed petroleum exports, training technical staff for Iraq and development of bilateral relations.


Kasemi signed a petroleum cooperation memorandum with his Iraqi counterpart Abdul Karim Laibi. The sides will also develop joint oil fields.
