The head of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, Gennadii Onischenko, is ready to start negotiations with Georgian winemakers, stating that their product meets all quality standards, Interfax reports.
Meanwhile, Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili recently thanked the Russian authorities for the ban on Georgian wine imports, as it encouraged winemakers to improve the quality of the product. Onischenko, for his part, came to the conclusion that the ban was reasonable.
