Russia plans to take up all responsibilities as a WTO member, Russian prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a government meeting on Thursday. The government needs to keep in touch with the parliament to have all WTO membership procedures fulfilled before July, so that Russia can become a full-fledged member in early August, RIA Novosti reports.
The parliament needs to receive the protocol on Russian membership. The minister for economic development and other officials need to conclude work on the procedures.
Medvedev noted that he ordered monitoring of the situation earlier. Secondary plans of adapting to WTO rules had to be realized.
