Kaspiysk is hosting the 2nd Dagestani Economic Forum 2012 today, organized by the Dagestani government and the Agency for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations of Dagestan.
85 delegations and 700 independent experts will arrive. Scientists and experts, businessmen and presidents of companies will arrive from Russia, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Turkey, Moldova, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan and US.
Heads of FGC UES, Summa Group, Rosnano, Navigation and Information Systems, Corporation for Development of the North Caucasus, Northern Caucasus Resorts, Monoholding and others will attend.
The forum will start with a plenary session on integration, innovations and investments in the economy of the North Caucasus. Attendants will discuss integration and modernization. Russian region heads and presidential envoy to the NCFD will discuss development of Russia’s South.
Victor Grishin, head of the Russian Economic Academy of Plekhanov, Svetlana Lipina, Director of the Center for Urban Planning of the Higher School of Economics, Nikolai Ostarkov, Vice President of Business Russia, Ahmed Bilalov, CEO of the Northern Caucasus Resorts, Fridrikh Roysman, a university director of Linz (Austria), Ilyas Umakhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Dmitry Mikheyev, Deputy Chief of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Valery Zerenkov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, and other officials will present reports.
Expositions will be set at two floors of the Kaspiy Expo Exhibition Center. The first floor will be devoted to FGC UES, Northern Caucasus Resorts, Rostelecom and foreign companies.
Dagestan will have a grand exhibition on the second floor, demonstrating investment projects using advanced presentation technologies.
Ali Nurmagomedov, head of the Agency for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations of Dagestan, said that his organization has 81 investment projects worth over 230.7 billion rubles, 30 projects are being realized. Over 22 billion have been invested.
The Dagestani Economic Forum will have 77 investment projects of Dagestan presented. 27 of them belong to agriculture industry, 22 to industry, 8 to construction, 7 to tourism, 3 per transport, fuel and energy complex, innovations and art.
