Following the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, a
protocol on intentions has been signed between the Russian Ministry
for the Economy and the Regions, including Adygeya, Yuga.ru reports.
Adyg premier Murat Kumpilov noted that the federal authorities view
the preparations for the Winter Olympics - 2014 in Sochi in the light
of the general social and economic development of the Caucasus region.
He said that tourist infrastructure development is the way to a
successful economic future for the region and its rebirth. The
implementation of the project, providing for the construction of five
modern resorts, will create more than 160,000 jobs.
This year, the Adyg authorities are going to spend more than 1.4
billion roubles on road construction, electricity networks and water
supply systems.
