Baku to host International Congress on "Urban tunneling and underground infrastructure"

For the first time Azerbaijan will host the International
Congress-Exhibition on "Urban tunneling and underground
infrastructure" from September 10-11 at the JW Marriott Absheron Baku,
Trend reports. The initiator of the forum is the Azerbaijani
Association of Tunnels, which since 2011 has been a member of the
World Association of Tunnels and its only representative in the
region.

The participants of the congress will discuss the growing demand in
underground city infrastructure related to the increase in
urbanization and growth of cities. The congress will also attract
investors.

The congress will be attended by scientists and experts, interested
organizations and companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, France, Spain,
Italy, Russia, Ukraine, United States, Canada, South Korea and other
countries.

Direct support for the event is provided by the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism of Azerbaijan, the executive authorities of Baku, the Institute of
Construction and Architecture of Azerbaijan, the French Association of
Tunnels and Underground Construction, the International Tunneling
Association and others.
