Turks protest against construction of new Bosporus bridge

Local inhabitants and experts are surprised by the construction of the a bridge over Bosporus, Interfax reports.


Human rights activists and specialists of urban planning in Istanbul protest against the plan, saying that the construction would increase traffic density and ruin green zones in the area.


The construction plan was developed by the Turkish Transport Ministry. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was condemning the project at first, but then reconsidered and approved it.
