Croatia launches new ferry for Caspian Shipping Company

 

The Ulyanik wharf has launched the Balaken ferry ship for the Azerbaijani State Caspian Shipping Company, Trend cites the company’s spokesman Vyugar Sadykhov.

The company’s head Aydyn Bashirov attended the ceremony of launching the ship. The Barda ship was launched on May 10. Both ships will arrive in Azerbaijan by the end of the year.

Each ship is worth €22 million. They may carry up to 54 carriages.

Azerbaijan signed a contract with Croatian partners using the 2+3 scheme in May 2011. The Caspian Shipping Company may order three more ships.
