Rosneft to increase its dividends to 25% on Putin’s request

Vladimir Putin has asked Rosneft to increase its dividends from 11% to

25%, Itar-Tass reports. He believes that this "will contribute to the

capitalization of the company".

"It is not a matter of the state, but a matter of the economy," Putin stressed.

The head of the company, Igor Sechin, said that Rosneft will consider

this question in the next few days. "We will try to achieve it," Sechin promised.

Rosneft applied for new oilfields on the coastline with total

potential of extractable resources of 25.4 billion tons in oil

equivalent.
