A Syrian MiG-21 landed at the Mafraq base in the northern part of Jordan, Interfax reports.
The Syrian television has not confirmed the information. Syrian military officers say that they lost communication with the jet. Jordan admitted the landing.
Syrian opposition says that Col. Hassan Hamad piloting the jet deserted and joined the force fighting against President Bashar al-Assad.
