Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened a pipeline in the village of Osiauri in eastern Georgia on Thursday. Gas supply to the village was carried out by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) under the presidential program "Gas to all Villages", Trend informs
According to the President of Georgia, there is another innovation that was introduced with the consent of the SOCAR. Now, gas supply to a house is possible in installments.
"We, along with the Energy Ministry and our Azerbaijani partners, have managed to agree on the fact that farmers will pay 30 lari ($ 1 = 1.63 lari) a month and they will be provided with gas. SOCAR will take a bank loan itself, and will cover the debt," Saakashvili said, thanking the company for its understanding.
