Kuban celebrates 100th anniversary of Institute of Oilseeds

The All-Russian Pustovoit Research Institute of Oilseed located in the Kuban
region is celebrating its 100th anniversary, ITAR-TASS reports.

The institute was congratulated by the governor of Krasnodar Territory,
Alexander Tkachev. He also discussed with the employees of the institute
prospects for its development.
The president of the Russian Agricultural Academy, Gennady Romanenko,
congratulated the institute and said that the majority of Russian farmers
today cultivate the Kuban varieties of sunflower and other oilseed crops,
since they are more resistant to natural disasters and have competitive
prices.
