Turkey may request NATO to recognize the attack on its jet by Syria as aggression against NATO, Turkish Vice Premier Bulent Arinc said, Interfax reports.
Turkish representative to the UN Ertugrul Apakan filed a message to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and said that Syria was aware of the jet.
Spokesman of the Syrian Foreign Ministry Jihad Makdisi said that the jet was shot down for violating the Syrian aerospace last week as an act of defense.
