JSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) and the company International Handling Company (IHC - founder of a private airline Silk Way Helicopter Services) concluded to Sikorsky Aircraft a contract for the purchase of three helicopters S-92, Turan reported. This is the first direct sale of Sikorsky Aircraft in the Eurasian market.
Under the contract, IHC is buying helicopters for use on offshore oil fields. One model will be VIP. The document provides the delivery in the future of additional four helicopters. The first helicopter, according to Silk Way Helicopter Services, will be delivered to Azerbaijan in the III-IV quarters of this year. Contract amount is not reported.
