Azerbaijani foreign minister to visit Latin America

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mamedyarov, will make a tour across Latin America, Trend reports.

He will start in Columbia on July 24-25, after which he will travel to Argentina, Uruguay, and Peru, Trend was told by diplomatic sources on Monday.

It is planned to discuss prospects for development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and these states in the political and economic spheres.

Mamedyarov will undertake the visits together with the deputy Minister of Economic Development, Niyazi Safarov, and a group of Azerbaijani businessmen.

Relations between Azerbaijan and the countries of Latin America have widened after the establishment of Azerbaijani embassies in Mexico and Argentina.
