In January-May of 2012 revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan amounted to 6715.3 million manats, expenditure – 5648.5 million manats, surplus – 1066.8 million manats, or 5.1% of GDP.
The APA agency was told by the State Statistics Committee that, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, the state budget revenues grew by 39.2%, expenditure – by 53.4%.
It should be noted that 25.3% of budget spending is accounted for by salaries, pensions, and social benefits for the population.
At the same time, 39.3% of spending is investments in the economy, 14.8% - social security and population needs, 11.2% - education and healthcare.
