Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri called the agreement which was signed today between Bank of Georgia and the company "SOCAR Energy Georgia" (a subsidiary production unit of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), of supplying credits to public for giving gas to their houses and the installation of meters very important.
"This is important agreement, because citizens residing in regions have quite a few problems, and they have no possibility to fully pay the amount needed for the gas in their homes. Accordingly, should be welcome the initiative shown by the "Bank of Georgia". This will accelerate gasification of new subscribers" - noted Khetaguri - Trend reports.
As noted in the message the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan , by agreement between the Bank of Georgia and "SOCAR Energy Georgia", Georgian Bank will finance for private individuals wishing to carry out gas and set timers. They will be issued a credit of up to 500 lari (about 300 dollars) for 12 months. Also, subscribers of SOCAR Georgia Gas (supply and distribution of gas in Georgia) will pay for the gas supplied to the Bank of Georgia.
On lending of subscribers of SOCAR Georgia Gas Bank of Georgia allocates 75 million lari (about 45 million of dollars).
SOCAR Georgia Gas Company was the winner of the tender, announced in 2008 by the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, and won 30 of gas distribution networks in cities and regions of the country. Under the three-year program, the number of subscribers of networks will be increased by 150 thousand.
